Goldberg, Goldsmith - solid gold

I could blow the whole day reading very interesting stuff I’ve encountered already this morning at four digital newspapers and a few politically-oriented websites.

Two items particularly jumped out, coincidentally from polar-opposite Goldbergs:

  • Michelle Goldberg admonishes readers not to believe it when conservatives (Trumpistas, actually) say that Roger Stone didn’t really threaten Randy Credico.
  • Jonah Goldberg opens that “For most of my life, the rule of thumb was that the GOP was the ideological party and the Democratic Party was the coalitional party.” He says that’s now reversed. Interesting point, although “fusionism” really was a thing, melding two idologies.

And although it hasn’t made the NYT obituaries yet, Chuckie O’Brien has died, as noted by his stepson, Harvard Law professor Jack Goldsmith.
