Precisely the right little point

There’s an apocryphal Luther quote that goes like this:

If I profess with the loudest voice and clearest exposition every portion of the Word of God except precisely that little point which the world and the devil are at that moment attacking, I am not confessing Christ, however boldly I may be professing Him.

… Sometimes “the world” attacks the truth of Christ … by tempting Christians to demean, disdain, ignore, overburden, or otherwise harm LGBTQ people. “The world” and “the devil” can manifest themselves … whenever a Christian heaps shame on LGBTQ people ….

Wesley Hill. Converging news and commentary lead me to think the time has come for me to “confess Christ” with a longer blog article on this, which I intend to do within the next week or so.
