I finally watched Terence Malick’s A Hidden Life last night on Amazon Prime. (Had to buy it; couldn’t just watch it.)
It would be less haunting had Franz prattled away like a magpie about why he couldn’t/wouldn’t swear loyalty to Hitler. But his thoughts were largely “hidden.”
